ASI SUP Fitness Instructor Course

Course dates for 2021 have been released!

Looking to deliver an alternative fitness experience – then this is for you. 

Join me in learning the key safety requirements, modifications for exercises, gain ideas in order to conduct stand up paddle fitness sessions with basic to intermediate-advanced exercises, including using resistance bands. Learn about anchoring, reading conditions and more. 

You must hold a L3 fitness qualification and have 10 hrs experience of SUP Fitness and 20 hrs experience on a SUP.

If you need more SUP or SUP Fitness experience before joining on the course then contact me to either arrange this with myself or an instructor close to your home.

Here are the dates for the upcoming courses. Please note that you will most likely be required to obtain a SUP Rescue Certificate unless you have a suitable equivalent in date. These courses run the day after to enable you to get this qualification at the same time.

What is SUP Fitness?

SUP Fitness is where you perform fitness exercises on a paddle board. To be an instructor therefore you need to be a fitness instructor qualified to deliver exercise sessions in an outdoor environment and have a good level of skill on a paddleboard.

The Association of Surfing Instructors (ASI) is the world’s leading professional membership organisation and international governing body for instructors, coaches and schools in the outdoor recreation industry for surfing, stand up paddle and bodyboarding.

ASI creates and sets the international standards and continuously investigates and researches industry practices and liaises with industry itself and government departments around the world, to ensure we are at the leading edge for the provision of education, accreditation, standards and safe practices, and with respect and harmony with nature.
