About Emily King Paddle Coaching
Emily King is a multi-disciplinary National Elite SUP Champion and Professional Coach with a passion for adventure paddling, white water and surfing. She has been coaching Clubs around the UK for the past 8 years, improving paddlers’ technique and performance from beginner to podium. She is excited to offer this development opportunity to the wonderful paddlers at Dittons Paddle Boarding. Emily is currently the Chairperson of Swansea SUP Club and GBSUP 12’6 Technical Race Series National UK Champion.
Technique & Race Training Clinic (All-Day)
Staying injury free, getting a more efficient stroke, being able to achieve your paddling goals and learning to have a great technique will change your experience of paddling forever! Giving you confidence and the ability to reach your potential. Emily will spend time working together with you to build your stroke technique using drills, biomechanics and dynamic training.
The SUP racing calendar is getting bigger and more exciting every year with more and more events to suit all levels of paddlers. If your goal is to put yourself to the test and enjoy this vibrant and inspiring scene, then this is the clinic for you! With 10 years of competitive paddling and podium placings, Emily truly knows how to help you become the best race competitor you can be. You will learn how to manage the different stages of racing, from the pre-race preparation, to the explosive start, the tactical middle and the power finish. Emily will work with you on all aspects of racing techniques and fitness, these sessions will put you in control both mentally and physically. By the end of the clinic you will have to tools and the knowledge to take your paddling to the next level.

- Core techniques for paddlers.
- Paddle handling and strokes.
- Board handling.
- Body positioning and its application in racing.
- Paddling assessment.
- Explosive starts and finishes.
- Fun drills and fun races.
